If Living Things is a shorter, up tempo version of Minutes, which I don't think it will be anything like, I'd likely rate it my favourite album thus far.

While I liked ATS, it wasn't an album I could listen to at any point, in any mood. By nature, I like high tempo music, and ATS just felt a little slow for me. I feel Living Things could be the album that many early LP fans have truly been waiting for. Energetic. A word that on its own is able to sum up the LP of old. That's what they lost along their experimental path.

And to all the Meteora haters/dislikers, need I remind you of what album produced one of LP's greatest, if not THE greatest, songs, Breaking The Habit? For mine, that song is a stand out from all albums so far. In a time where nearly all their songs had rap, they made this beautiful, deep, emotional, yet catchy, pop song.

Definitely agreed with Derek. As long as they make music that I find pleasing and enjoyable, I don't care if it's not the next DSotM or Sgt. Pepper.

It's like the ark of the covenant in Indiana Jones. Only those with the power to open it may do so and use it's contents, others get melted away and their eyes fall out of their sockets in a really cheesy but awesome show of special effects. :toolbox:

NME article has been updated again. First post now has the band talking about why they named the album "LIVING THINGS", say it will have "cathartic screaming" as well as strong lyrics, rapping and melodies and also the quote about them getting back to the Hybrid Theory state of mind.

Burn it down does have some electronics but it doesn't really feel totally that way to me when I listen to it. When I listen to it it brings back to MTM plus a rap tbh.

The songs is almost completely made around synths, it has electronic drums, the bass has been effect'd... There is almost nothing organic to Burn It Down. It feels completely hollow to me.
