Maybe because since the Rolling Stone article and later confirmed by SPIN, it has been explicitely described as a song where Mike "reclaims his hip-hop roots"? Besides Burn It Down, Lost in the Echo is the song we got the most information from, although SPIN described 3 more.

I like the track listing overall, but LIES GREED MISERY is an ok title. Not terrible, just not great. And I like Living Things as a title. It's just not as cool as their previous ones.

Lies Greed Misery is a good title for me, I kinda wanted a more epic title for the album rather than Living Things, but the title is okay with me
