I think the "living things" answer will have some significance. Just look at the game... we are building up a living thing.
Now, how do you break a living thing back down? The obvious answer in this case is by burning it back down, but I think there is more to it. It's all building to something, some big reveal, that may even come after the release of the single. Hearing parts or all of the single is certainly a part, but it's part of something bigger.
After the success of the ATS puzzles, which I get the feeling were coming out of Trollnoda's brain last minute, they knew that puzzles would be a great marketing strategy, one that would be expected by fans. They planned this all out, and I wouldn't be surprised if the build up continues until close to the album release. For all we know, we still need those numbers. There are a million ways to encode "living things," so why those specific numbers? Why the descending pattern in each line of the 4x4?
As Mike said in LPU, we have no idea what is important and what isn't. We just have to keep building up clues and information as LP builds up our collective anticipation, so we can break it all back down when the time comes. Til then, I'm not gonna toss anything out.

Snippets were interesting. We'll see how it pans out in the full song. HT and M were the same thing. Ats was it's own thing. MTM was HT and M attempting to be ATS. I wonder if this album falls into its own thing or spawns another mutant baby. Definitely sounds interesting, I loved the direction they took with ATS. The lyrics were great, and instead of taking a heavy direction they went with more melodic sounds that would stimulate you along with the lyrics. Instead of just heavy guitar riffs and such. I'm all for keeping that formula rolling!
