They're both epic. Enough said
Dead by Sunrise
I like them both equally
I don't like neither
They're both epic. Enough said
Mike and Chester are really different to be honest. Mike is versatile and pretty good with everything, while Chester is AMAAAAAAAAZING (i cannot stress that enough) vocalist, but with many other stuff (except lyrics), he's not as good as mike.

I said, "Mike, I'm coming for you, homie"
Cause Mike's always got my back when I'm lonely
And I always got his back when we fight
I'm coming for you, Mike, Imma save your life

Even though I really like Chester's voice in Linkin Park, I would go with Fort Minor. It's hard to pick since Dead by Sunrise is great too, but if I have to compare I would rather listen to The Rising Tied than Out of Ashes album.
fort minor... but that's of course my opinion

Aside from a few songs, I felt Dead By Sunrise was a bit of a "Let Down". I really was expecting so much out of that record, but I really don't think it's Chester at his finest. Julien K really hinders the sound a bit, and it became a hugely generic rock record.
On the other hand, I feel Fort Minor is definitely some of Mike's best work, with only a couple songs (Feel Like Home and Back Home) that I could have really done without.
I like FM more than DBS. don't know why..
Out of Ashes, I know it from head to toe. Highlights from it to me are Walking in Circles and In The Darkness. I had Into You on my head for a long time but if I had to choose I'd go with the first two.
I like 'em both, but for different reasons. Fort Minor is stuff I'll listen to when I'm in one of those "fuck yeah" kinda moods; it's music you can jam out to. DBS, on the other hand, seems more depressing to me. It's good to listen while you're having a bad day, anyway

Fort Minor was a surprise because of how good it was, DBS was a surprise because of how underwhelming it was.
Fort Minor has some killer raps!
Fort Sunrise...I mean, Dead Minor! I mean...

I couldn't get into DBS but Fort Minor was awesome!
Fort Minor ofc!
I feel like we start getting into a really dangerous territory when we start trying to write around the idea of what some third-party thought of what our music should be when they can't even comprehend on how to tell us what that thing is, or guide us in a direction that can get us there musically or creatively, or anything. You know, having to have a specific type of song; forcing music to conform to that frame of mind is causing a lot of noise to be in and it's getting away from the song. (...) Let's stop trying to do things that other people want us to do, and let's get back to just being fluid, and writing songs, coming with ideas, and being like, "hey, let's check this out", and grading things, and being honest.
I definitely play FM a lot more. SOB contribute to The Rising Tied so well, and make it a pretty solid album. SOB, Mike and beats overseen by Jay makes for a good combination. I also agree with others who say Cigarette and Back Home get avoided. Compared to the rest, they're boring and the beats aren't up to scratch.
I liked Out of Ashes, but I can't remember the last time I listened to a group of songs from it in a row. In The Darkness, Walking In Circle and End of The World stand out for mine.
