I have officially lost faith in humanity.

"Shitty" and "In Pieces/The Little Things" do not belong in the same sentence. Not only that, but they both sound NOTHING alike, nor do they sound anything like the rest of Linkin Park.

Love how other fansites and places are incorrectly stating on their twitter/websites that LP are going back to their roots. This was never stated at all during the article. Chester said the album will be more "familiar" but that could mean ANYTHING. Instead of jumping to conclusions people should listen to the new single first. There is NO proof they're going back to their roots at all.

I'm not bothered about what they name the album but I agree with everything else that you've said.

Jesse was dead to me a long time ago when he said he hates chocolate. :WTF:

Someone needs to bake a pie in the shape of Link from the Legend Of Zelda. Then you will have Link In Pie. :awesome:

I can't wait till this new album comes out and it sounds nothing like HT/Meteora and all these music sites that misinterpreted the Kerrang article look like idiots.

You mean you can't wait until the new album that sounds nothing like HT/Meteora come out, and all these music sites put Chester Bennington on blast for intentionally lying in an interview in order to get more album sales.

I feel that there will be that 'familiar' energy with a different texture, obviously the guitars made up a lot of HT and Meteora 'Pie'... The new pie won't be relying on guitars as such, but i imagine there will be just as much energy made from different components, think wretches and kings?

I'm not buying this whole old against new, in my mind its more old plus new, the two combined, which will result in an unparalleled amount of excellence...

Yeah... As fun as speculating is, I'm already sick of it. People read too far into things that don't make two fucks of a difference seeing as everyone interprets everything differently.

Very true. "going back to their roots" is the buzz-phrase of the day today. Look at all the music sites posting it, that will probably be in 2/3 of them... and it was never even said by Chester.

These music sites need to go back to their roots and stop saying that everyone is going back to their roots, because LP never said they were going back to their roots and even if they were going back to their roots it would mean they're going back to their roots of breaking barriers rather than going back to their root SOUND.

    Going back to their roots.

There is alot of ignorance present in this thread. Everyone has different tastes. I personally loved Meteora, but I can recognize the fact that it was probably the band's least creative album. Having said that, some songs on Meteora are my absolute favorites. Having been to 3 live shows, I can honestly say that hearing "Faint" played live is one of the closing things to a religious experience I have ever encountered. But in all honesty, the whole show is a religious experience.

People need to stop being so judgmental on here. This is a Linkin Park fan site, and despite everyone's differing opinions, we wouldn't be spending time on this forum if we didn't love and support the band fully.

    I'm off my soap-box now.

Cue F--k Casey and two admins of the site that aren't fans of LP anymore but are still on this forum.

Which admins are that? Cause I'm pretty sure Joe, Todd, and Me love Linkin Park . Not sure about that Mark though, he's a tricky character.
