Not a lot of details released so far, but it apparently takes place during the American Revolution. Initially, I was kind of bummed to hear that this was going to be the backdrop. Assassin's Creed is all about scaling badass architecture, and the buildings in 18th century America were kind of slim on verticality. After seeing these screens, though, I'm starting to warm up to the new setting:

I have a feeling this is definitely going to be the best in the series.

Anyone else getting a little Red Dead Redemption vibe from some of those screens? I'm pretty sure it has to do with the setting (even though ACIII takes place over a century earlier than RDR), but I'm loving it.
According to my AC-freak buddy, the trailer for this drops tomorrow.

Got some more info on the game, as far as the protagonist's name and other stuff.
Apparently his name is Connor and her is half Native American and half American.
Half British actually.

This is gonna be SO AWESOME! I have to admit, I actually got turned on by the video where you get to see Connors weapons...
