hey guys, just checking in. Really liking what's been posted so far. Things aren't going so well on my end. I've had a few ideas and tried to sketch them out; but I haven't really hit that creative streak where things start falling into place. I'm having a bit of a writer's block with this song since I already remixed it in October... I'm trying to make it sound completely different than the dance-pop one. The angle I keep wanting to try is Hip-Hop. Just wanted to let yall know I'm working on it and you can expect an entry from me at some point!

I'm absolutely honored by your words, Derek. Having seen in the years your maturity and understanding of art and music and your ways to respond to people always with the right words... my respect for you is giving me a lot of pressure for this remix and I hope I won't disappoint you and anybody else listening to it. I really wish to give a whole new way to experience this song for the listener.
The lyrics are very dramatic to me, and so has to be the music.
I let it listen only to one dear friend so far (the actual version) and he isn't into Linkin Park at all, didn't even know this track. He checked both, original and remix, and he thought my remix to be a song per se more than a remix and was very impressed.
I'm talking so much... I'm not used to be nervous, I do music since years, lol. Why is that?
I am listening the last part of the song dozens of times, 'cause there is something I feel I have to improve. However when I completed the bridge (longest part of the teaser), I cried. I guess as artist it means to know that THAT part cannot be made better. It still rips my heart open everytime I hear, and it wouldn't be the same without Chester's voice there.
