'they stepped away from electronics' :O
So says a vague source via LPL
They're using a totally misinformed radio station (which was spouting BS) that we've already discredited as a source earlier this week, hence why we didn't post it/put it in our album news page. This same radio station claimed the band was completely done with the album, recording and all...when not even last week, the entire band said they're still having band meetings and recording content for the new album. If the record was really done last week, you'd think that the band would be a lot more definitive as to how the record sounds, when it's being released, or what we can expect from them. Furthermore, if the album is supposedly a mix of "old and new" wouldn't that mean that there are still electronics on the record? Also, even though Mike said The Raid is totally separate from the new LP record, it stands to reason that he'd likely be at least unintentionally influenced by his work on there. So in essence, to sum it up: Don't believe radio stations. Believe the band, and official news sources/big publications that have actual interviews and quotes from the band.
Vague source it stays then
I never believe anyone on anything just like that but I liked the idea so I thought it was mentionable...
Thanks for the heads-up anyways
No problem. I've learned never to trust these sources anymore unless they have a clip of a band member stating this, or have officially interviewed them. So many radio stations are hungry to get that exclusive that they start bullshitting/pulling things out of their ass, in the hopes that something they say turns out to be semi-true so they can say 'HEY YOU GUYS, WE HAD IT FIRST LOL'. I've found it's even impossible to trust big and well respected radio stations anymore because they get their information from so called "industry insiders" who turn out to be nothing more than a loser looking for his 5 minutes of fame.
The lesson learned here is.... "Only trust news if it is posted by the band or the LPA"
Or only trust sources that Mike Shinoda calls "silly". #SillyLPA
OFFICIAL: The new Linkin Park album has 13 tracks, is 63 minutes long, and its title is in reference to the Mayan calendar, as confirmed by Radio Disney.
Talking about Disney... the took down a video of mine of a Chevelle performance... they be TROLLIN' MEH :@
We're all a little weird and life is a little weird, and when we find someone who's weirdness is compatible with ours we fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.
"The First Trolling Troll Radio" says: they stepped away from guitars, their album sound is a mix of old drums and bass and new drums and bass ! ;D
Actually the only instrumentals on the album are the sounds of metal hitting flesh because they manipulated the sound of zombies being slayed for the music.
So, for example of an old song sounding this way it would sound like
Squish squi squi sqey squish squish. Squish squi squi sqey squish squish. (this is numb in zombie)
bet this thread can reach 100 pages before the album comes out
