These guys must be working really hard, because I easily got the impression from the Phoenix chat that they weren't that close to finishing yet. Although if Mike's mid-2012 estimate is the band's goal, it means they may be farther along than we thought. I don't expect the single till closer to April though, because they haven't done any promotion on the album apart from sporadic interviews yet.

So! middle of this year is fucking June! ok but, I can't stop remembering that Chester said they wanted to release an album every 18 months, c'mon Chazy don't lie to yourself! XD
Just a thought on The Raid - I'm aware that it's been picked up by a number of international distributors, for example, the distribution rights for a UK release were bought by Momentum. However, given that it was specifically Sony Pictures in the US who tasked Mike to write a new score, I'm wondering if Mike's score might be exclusive to the US release, which would be a shame
I should add, I'm sure the previous score was cool as well, but obviously as a Linkin Park/Mike Shinoda fan, his soundtrack is the primary selling point for me!
Thanks LPA for selecting me as 'Monthly Mix-Up' Winner for:BundleOfNerves: Mike just comes out of the gates swinging, though.
October '11 (Dance-Pop), November '11 (Mash-Ups), March '12 (Hip Hop) and November '12 (Castle Of Glass)
and as a Runner-Up for: July '12 (Burn It Down) and October '12 (I'll Be Gone/Victimized/In My Remains).

^^ That's actually a really interesting question. Would be a good thing to ask Mike next twitter/LPU Q&A he does.
Oh yeah !!!
It's freaking awesome that Mike said 'mid-year' himself. No way I expected it to arrive this soon...
Let the summer, and the best album of the year, loose then
Take it how you take it, I'm the opposite of vacancy
I thought this was the new album title hahaha I was like "whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat" but then I realised its his score. Isnt the new Lp album coming out in mid 2012 too?

this is indeed very interesting news. Mid-Year is pretty close. I like that
And with words unspoken
A silent devotion
I know you know what I mean
And the end is unknown
But I think I'm ready
As long as you're with me
Cue speculation as to when we'll start seeing all those cryptic puzzles and such again.
