''WHO COULD ROCK A RHYME LIKE THIS, LIKE THIS. BRING IT TOU YOU EVERYTIME LIKE THIS. WHO COULD ROCK A RHYME LIKE THIS, LIKE THIS. STEP, STEP UP, STEP STEP UP.''
I must disagree with you. They always talk to the crowd and mostly chester thanks them for the atmosphere...(e.g: red square 2011). Last time they came to Portugal (Rock in Rio 2008), at the mid of APFMH and In the end, Mike goes up to the barrier and talks to people...so I think you're somewhat wrong >.<
I would like to see some fireworks like when they performed "one step closer" with Jonathan Davis (Projekt Revolution Camden 2004). It would be awesome if they played some musics like "Easier to run" or "Runaway"... Oh, and they need to bring back this verse on "one step closer": "These are the places where I can feel torn from my body My flesh, it peels during this ride we can cut upwhat we like I’m about to break Waiting alone, I cannot resist Feeling this hate, I have never missed Please, someone, give me a reason to rip off my face Blood is a pouring...." and I miss the pushing me away piano version x3
Hey Joao Abreu, welcome to the LPA! I know you're new here, but in the future try not to double post. If you want to add something to a post or change it in some way, use the "edit" button at the bottom . Also, I don't think Linkin Park talks to the crowd enough. If they talked more, not only would that make the shows longer and more enjoyable, but it would also give them more rest.
It could also add some comic elements to the set, usually when bands talk among each other or the crowd it's pretty funny!
But the first post was a reply to your comment, and then I gived my opinion about the thread. Should I reply to comments and aswering the thread on the same post?
Yes, you can specifically reply to one or numerous comments with the "Reply With Quote" button under the comment. Then you can use the rest of the post as your answer to the thread or your own opinions or simply wait for a response from the one you are quoting.
I've got it. Shorter shows, this would mean they would have to leave out much more songs, and therefore have more songs to switch around with - therefore each show will have a varide setlist on a long loop.
Well, I always like to hear (new) extended or different versions of songs, either old or new songs. That's always fun and exciting
How about just Session. Do something really unique and add a rap over it. I'm honestly sick of hearing Numb, Faint, Lying From You, and From The Inside live. Please no more. And while they're at it, they can remove What I've Done, Crawling, and One Step Closer too
A Totally New Setlist ..... 4 from Hybrid Theory 2 from Meteora 5 Minutes To Midnight 1 Revenge of the Fallen OST 5 A Thousand Suns 7 New Album 2012 Total of 24
I want them to really revamp their setlist. They have so many hit singles that it's all they play. I think them playing ATS in full is sort of out of the range of possibility at this point. The songs they should absolutely keep are: -New Divide -Papercut -Breaking The Habit -In The End -One Step Closer The ones I can't even stand watching live anymore: -Numb -Bleed It Out -Crawling -What I've Done Love all four of those songs, but damn they just do not have enough energy while playing them anymore. Songs I wish they'd incorporate from previous albums: -Burning in the Skies (make it a permanent fixture) -Easier to Run (beautiful harmonies in the second verse) -Figure.09 (best bridge they have in my opinion) Overall I'd like to see the breakdown like this: Hybrid Theory - 1) Papercut 2) One Step Closer 3) Runaway 4) In The End 5) A Place for my Head Meteora - 6) Lying From You 7) Easier to Run 8) Faint 9) Breaking The Habit Minutes to Midnight - 10) Given Up 11) Leave Out All the Rest 12) The Little Things Give You Away A Thousand Suns - 13) Burning in the Skies 14) When They Come For Me 15) Wretches and Kings 16) Iridescent 17) The Catalyst Other Songs - 18) New Divide That leaves plenty of room for songs off the new album too. I'd also be interested to hear how Across the Line sounds live.
I'm gonna be realistic here. All I'm asking for is more crowd interaction. I'm not saying they don't do it at all anymore, but it used to be a lot more so. When they don't talk to and get the crowd pumped and all that, it comes across as an overly rehearsed show, and not a concert. Also, I'll be looking forward to some intros and outros for the ATS songs.
I want Don't Stay back, Somewhere I Belong to be a permanent in the setlist, Points of Authority back, In Pieces back. Robot Boy debut (even tho i dislike the song, wouldn't mind them debuting it) Longer setlists For me to finally get to see them!
Definitely more crowd interaction. I saw All Time Low a couple of months back and the banter with the crowd was insane - it definitely made the evening much more enjoyable. I know that the experience I had seeing ATL will be different to that of someone who saw them on another, even if there was a similar setlist, and I think that's great, it gives each show a bit of individuality. Obviously LP and ATL are completely different bands and cater to different audiences, so I'm not suggesting LP should borrow any of ATL's tricks, but it's crazy how much difference a little chat with the crowd makes. It's not all about the music. I do love LP (saw them live for the first time in Nov 2010), they're my favourite band and their live show is phenomenal, but it did feel a bit over rehearsed. I'd gladly drop one or two songs in favour of a bit more talk from the band, rather than them just swooping from one song right into the next. I've gotten many laughs from watching them in LPTV episodes so it'd be nice to see some of this translate to the stage. The best live shows are always the ones that you come out of knowing that you got a unique experience, and although LP were fantastic, I had no doubt that whoever was going to see them the night after me was going to have a pretty similar experience. I dunno, I guess to some people that could be a good thing, but I like little things here and there to set each show apart from one another.
Reduce the number of songs being played. Increase the number of setlists. And drop Crawling .. Chester cannot handle it anymore.
