I'm really wondering why people expect LP to be so quick about this. Sure, there are artists in other genres that might release an album once or even twice a year, but is their music quality? And just because other famous bands have done it, that means all famous bands should do it too? You can't compare a band as unique as LP to other artists in the industry in the same way you can compare pop acts or hip-hop artists. I really don't think the touring cycles and the waits are exactly a profit thing anymore for them. They seem to be taking more breaks between legs, and they basically just go into the studio when they feel like it. The way I see it, leave it alone. Don't analyze it. Don't fret over it. Find some other artists to listen to in the mean time and just wait for it.
