I knew that Chester and Rob were struggling with drugs, but not the rest of the band. As long as they stopped, I don't care.

All I know is, one of my goals in life is to get stoned with Mike Shinoda, and this helps me know that my goal is a little bit more attainable

i think this is a really good interview on a similar note as to the one posted in OP.

I suppose. It just seemed very awkward the way it was phrased. Either way, i still don't see the big deal.

That is old news to me. I read that a while back. I guess it seemed so insignificant that i forgot all about it until now.

 

So now the thread's gone from people being surprised to "Oh yeah, Rob did drugs, you didn't know?"

 

Knew about the drinking, not the drugs. He didn't seem like that type of guy, oh well. Overall, glad to see all of them sober.

Actually I'm not surprised with the pot and alcohol part. Not at all... I mean, Just search for an old live footage of them or behind the scenes footage or interviews (Hybrid era) they seemed to me like potheads...
Anyway, I find this interview very interesting and very open, wich is cool. And I hope they keep it clean.
Can't wait for the next album (as I'm listening now to the new In Flames album-Fuckin' awwesomeee!)

I remember watching a video a long time ago when they were called HT. Chester was blatently stoned! I used to smoke weed a lot when I was younger so I know a stoned person when I see one! Also, having read all this about the possibility of Mike smoking weed/pot I had to watch the video again. It's possible he could have been stoned. It provides a much bigger insight to the writing process and how/why events in the band members lives (mainly Chester) has changed the style and content of their music in recent years. A very informative and somewhat educational interview.
