Thank you for posting this. Good god what an awesome trailer! What style of gameplay is this game supposed to be? I've been out of touch with the development of this one. Is it supposed to play like KOTOR?
It's an MMORPG. But so far the classes are all so ridiculously cool even the most hardcore of fans (such as myself) are having trouble deciding to pass over say, the Bounty Hunter or the Smuggler to go straight for the Sith.
This looks really cool. I'm excited.
I will admit that this looked amazing at the show yesterday. The other Star Wars game, the Kinect one, was awful.
It's Bioware. They are physically incapable of doing wrong.
So when it has all that "choose your side" jazz, is it safe to assume they're doing the whole good/evil thing like in the other Star Wars game, and the Mass Effect franchise? I'm rather interested in this game and becoming a Sith![]()
Yes, you can be good or evil. The classes are listed as follows:
Good:
Trooper; Commando and Vanguard
Smuggler; Gunslinger and Scoundrel
Jedi Knight; Guardian and Sentinel
Jedi Consular; Shadow and Sage
Evil:
Bounty Hunter; Powertech and Mercenary
Sith Warrior; Juggernaut and Marauder
Imperial Agent; Operative and Sniper
Sith Inquisitor
And unlike most MMORPGs, all dialogue will be fully voiced and you'll be able to choose your responses to dialogue like in all Bioware games.
Now keep in mind, this footage was from December 2010.
I don't like MMORPGs. They just take too much of your free time.
Time management. :derek:
I work a full-time job, play WoW, Minecraft, and whatever suits my fancy, and still have plenty of time to go out and get drunk at bars watching basketball games, UFC, go to concerts, and go on random adventures to Indian Casinos out of state and California for less-than-reputable reasons.
Master Cody finds the single blade+double blade implausible...
As the resident uber-SW nerd here, fluent in all things OT, Prequel, and EU, I say it's not implausible.
That's awesome! I remember hearing last year it was MMORPG, but I wasnt sure if they were keeping with it. I'm interested to see how the battle controls play out. For me with RPGs its always hit or miss.
I remember seeing this. My question was it Dec '10 or Dec '09?
I remember this one from last year
And this one from 2009
If you've played SWKOTOR or SWKOTOR2, you know roughly how SWTOR will play. Just imagine more people and a bit more strategy involved.
The original Kotor was one of my favorite games of all time, the settings were great, plot was good. The second was good, but of course unfinished, the second half of the game left a lot to be desired.
