Thanks again Tyler for these rips. I gave them another spin this morning and they sounded great. Mike's and Mark's vocals are really clear.

I actually didn't. The reason the vocals in my version sound different is because this is actually an entirely different tape. The raw rips that are posted in the download section of LPA are from a different, more worn out cassette. My rips came from a tape that was in, virtually, mint condition. So, to answer your question: No, the vocals are exactly the same as they were from the source cassette. I wish I was good enough to be able to separate the vocals from the instrumental, lol.

Yeah, this rip will definitely be taking the place of the current rip in the LPA Media section, haha.

Aweesooooomeee I was secretly hoping someone else should try and re-rip and remaster the Xero tape. The last rip we had was good, but it was a bit funny in spots (like e.q. settings and playback speed) The best thing about it was that it had a lot of bass.

I can't wait to hear this. I always get a kick outta hearing the Xero demos despite how bad the audio quality was back then!

I like the fact that the pitch of Mike's vocals in these versions are finally close to his actual voice. In order rips he sounded very high pitched, and the vocals on these versions sound very close to the Mike we hear today (just younger of course).

I can't listen now I'm in class, but thanks so much! It's awesome to see people still finding Hybrid Theory and pre-HT work and improving it.

Since they put Reading My Eyes on LPU6 I've been wishing they'd re-record it with Fuse...

The tape speed issues only applied to the original rip of the tape that was done AGES ago (2001/2002-ish). This is, to my knowledge, the fourth time the Xero tape has been ripped. JonandBT and Nkramar have both done re-rips/remasters in the past, and neither of their rips had the speed issues.
