AUDIO: Iridescent Remix from Transformers 3 Soundtrack!

Linkin Park will be featuring a reworked version of "Iridescent" on the upcoming "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" soundtrack. This confirms the previous rumours of Iridescent being involved with the franchise in some capacity, following the tease at linkinpark.com. Check it out below courtesy of our friends at somekindofawesome.com.

What is interesting is that "Iridescent" is planned as the lead single from the "Transformers: Dark of the Moon Soundtrack" according to AOL, so this version of the song may be the only version to impact radio and get a video release, which Joe Hahn has been teasing on his Twitter, as opposed to the version featured on their latest album, "A Thousand Suns".

What do you think of the remix in comparison to the original? Share your thoughts on the LPA Forums!

So it's basically Iridescent with a dance beat loop?

I actually like this version more.

It's good but i was expecting more than just some re arranging and adding a loop

I'm more interested in how this will be a single from the soundtrack rather than A Thousand Suns, which theoretically means this should be the version to be played on radio and have a video.

Not that great of a remix. Actually its pretty boring. What scares me is that it may serve as the single which sounds really odd and weird to me. I like the arrangements on the original much better.

The word remix is pretty misleading here, I don't even think anything new was added to the song. Just rearranged.

A more appropriate title would be Iridescent (Transformers Edit). or even call it a Radio Edit.

I'm listening to it, and so far I'm not enjoying it much.

It's just mastered a little more with more instruments ._.

Yeah, I agree. It's more re-worked than remixed, haha.

There's more bass before the 2nd verse after the chorus, def some more strings are heard. I like the drums at the beginning. It def sounds like a ending/credit song no doubt. I love Iridescent, no matter how you arrange it, it just sounds beautiful.

BTW after listening a second time, if I didn't say any better but the drums that are played at the beginning of the song sound like the drums Brad plays during The Catalyst, not what Rob plays on the gang vocals of Iridescent.

Yeah, I thought the same thing yesterday when listening to the snippet on linkinpark.com, haha.

It's a pretty good chance Catalyst and Iridescent use the same drum part. There's a lot of reoccurring instrumental parts in ATS. These drums sound like the ones during the original Iridescent bridge too.

I guess the original version didn't fit well enough with Bay's EXPLOSIVE! vision.

Dude, it's like 'Iridescent' got together with 'Burning in the Skies' one night and was all, "hey let's make a baby!" I like the original, but this one is cool too. Awesome.
    HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED PICTUREBOARD YET?

The cycle repeated as explosions broke in the sky
all that I needed was the one thing I couldn't find
And you were there at the turn waiting to let me know
We're building it up to break it back down
We're building it up to burn it down
We can't wait to burn it to the ground
The colors conflicted as the flames climbed into the clouds
I wanted to fix this but couldn't stop from tearing it down
And you were there at the turn caught in the burning glow
And I was there at the turn waiting to let you know
You told me yes you held me high And I believed when you told that lie
I played that soldier you played king And struck me down when I kissed that ring
You lost that right to hold that crown I built you up but you let me down
so when you fall I'll take my turn and fan the flames as your blazes burn
