LPA forums newcomer Chandan Aggarwal (registered on the forums as burnic) recentely bought the special Hybrid Theory 10th Anniversary edition Kerrang! issue and has scanned it for your viewing pleasure. Included in the magazine are several rare interviews of the band, which provide a very personal and rarely seen insight into the band's rise to stardom starting from 2001 to current. You may view it by going to the gallery below. Thanks Chandan!

Kerrang gives Linkin Park so much love. It's a shame Rolling Stone doesn't really give the same respect.

I remember the days when LP fans HATED Kerrang (weren't they one of the zine's that said LP were manufactured? I'm pretty sure the apologized for it later).
    I feel old now T_T.

I gotta find this issue and buy it for myself, this is a good one.

I will read this....eventually. Is there anywhere online you can order this? No places here carry this magazine to my knowledge.

Good read. I really like how Chester is more straight forward about his personal life

"Calling us Nu Metal now is, to me, like saying "You Suck"" <= wow, Chester really said this?

Weird, I remember Kerrang voted ATS with KKKK, but now only KKK?

This can't be true: when Chester came across a Xero demo tape, he allegedly wrote two songs to impress them. "Two songs...A Place for My Head and Forgotten, were born out of the intense creative flurry of that evening."

I'm 100% sure that I own a demo for Rhinestone as performed by Mark Wakefield, certainly well before Chester "wrote" Forgotten.

Their interviews in April of 2007 were peppered with this kind of thing (i remember them dissin other nu-metal bands, even). I remember how jarring it was to see the nu metal, "we're bring different styles together!" LP disappear from the press entirely for three years and them come back with that sort of "we h8 nu metal" attitude. Knocked me off of of my feet.

I think if they had laid off of that attitude, especially since at that time the fans did not actually get to see the band evolve while they were underground, I think the MTM launch would have had like %30 less flame wars*

It doesn't actually claim Chester wrote it, does it? What's there is worded kind of vaguely and could mean anything from him writing the song himself to him just altering the song in some way.

Considering the picture of the band on the cover plus all Dean just pointed out ... well ... wtf? Is this legit?

It's supposed to be a retrospective on nu-metal in general, with general coverage of one or two of the bigger bands, which I guess is why all the pictures on the cover are relatively old ones if that's what you mean.

The most specific it gets is saying that he wrote lyrics and melodies for Xero.

Also I'm surprised by the second article (about Meteora), the dude is really going out of his way to make Mike look like an uptight douche.
