As reported a few months back, we can now confirm that October the 19th will see six A Thousand Suns tracks becoming available as Downloadable Content for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.

The Linkin Park track pack, which will have players strumming, drumming, and wailing for hours on end, will feature a collection of songs from Linkin Park's new album, A Thousand Suns and will be available for download beginning October 19.

The Linkin Park Track Pack for the Guitar Hero music library will feature the following tracks:

    • "Blackout"
    • "Burning In The Skies"
    • "The Catalyst"
    • "The Messenger"
    • "Waiting For The End"
    • "Wretches And Kings"
DJ Hero 2 will also see a Three Track DLC featuring exclusive Linkin Park mix tracks, coming this Winter.

Also, for a limited time only, purchase Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock or DJ Hero 2 from Amazon.com between 12:01am PST on October 17 and 11:59pm PST on October 23 will also receive a copy of Linkin Park's A Thousand Suns.

They better make the vocalist attempt the bridge of Blackout. Just sayin'. :awesome:

It's probably a very hard push by WBR to get those songs on there. LP songs have never been good fits with rhythm-type games, unless it's Rock Band 3. The implementation of keyboards and REAL GUITARS would've made for a good fit. GH6? Nah.

Excited for the DJ Hero 2 mixes though. Wonder who'll be remixing them? Dear DJ Shadow. Do it. Please.

    i agree.

it's a fun vocalist track pack at most, but aside from that? there will be a lot of keyboard/synth charting which is fine by me but even that won't make these songs interessting, probably. the worst song on this pack is "the messenger" because it basicly just has a guitar with the vocals, maybe strings charted as bass... oh man :D.

Maybe GH6 will get exclusive 'rock remixes' of the tracks?

Lol, Blackout? Really? That doesn't have any guitars at all. XD

ATS is a great album but it just doesn't suit GH6 at all.

DJ Hero 2 on the other hand... that could be interesting.

I don't understand why they put The Messenger in the pack. It doesn't have any drums, so that doesn't make sense to me. Would've rather had Iridescent to be honest.

I'd imagine the songs wouldn't be compatible like that. Especially considering the gameplay changes from 5 to 6.

So we got the Tap Tap Revenge game, GH and DJ Hero is all getting some LP love, hopefully soon after the release of Rock Band 3 we will get some LP Tracks on there, I have always liked Rock Band a lot more than GH, the charts are better imo.

When we originally reported this in August, Rockband was scheduled to have 2 ATS tracks & 6 LP hits as DLC. However, we were contacted by management to remove that information. It turns out everything we reported has been true:
My guess is that Rockband fell through, but everything else was going ahead. So, although it would be cool to see Rockband get that DLC, it seems unlikely right now, as it was going to be released simultaneously with the ATS launch.

I'm still hoping they decided to just wait until after Rock Band 3, since it will include the keyboard. *crosses fingers*

They're probably holding the RB3 DLC and such for well... when RB3 comes out.

I mean, especially with the composition of the songs from ATS, the new instrument layout does make more sense. I doubt Harmonix would pass up the money that'd come with LP on their catalog.

haha It does actually have them in The bridge, but they are digitally manipulated to hell & back so like you said, its not the best choice for GH

Like someone else said, Iridescent is a far better choice. its a more conventional rocker compared to the others. & considering its gonna be the 3rd single, im suprised its not there anyway.
