Slipknot are awesome! They are one of my favourite bands. I dont think any of you like them though

Do you like them? If you dont like them, why? If you do like them, what are your favourite songs? My favourite songs are probably Left Behind, Wait And Bleed, Spit It Out, People=Sh*t and acouple of others!

I personally haven't listened to any of their songs (that I know of) But I've heard mixed reviews obout them. BUT I won't know until I hear them for myself.

A suggest you download some of their songs. The songs I recommend are Wait And Bleed and Spit It Out. Those were the first 2 I heard and they are great!

Nü-metal and rap-metal are the same thing, there, buddy.

"Nü" is the German word for "new," and most "new" metal has been rap-metal, thus why most rap-metal is also called nü-metal. That&#39;s also why LP is called nü-metal.

Slipknot, to me, is metal, but I haven&#39;t heard enough to go and call them heavy metal, but they&#39;re definitely not nü-metal.

I&#39;m iffy about Slipknot. "Slip Away" isn&#39;t that bad of a song. To me, screaming like a madman isn&#39;t really one of my favorite things that a band does. Don&#39;t get me wrong, I love the heavy stuff, but I&#39;m not a huge fan of Slipknot.

I&#39;ll stick to Stone Sour.

lol, my friend bought "IOWA" for &#036;5.99 in Toronto because he wanted to waste some money. He listened to it once, and so did I, and we went out in the back yard and started to play frisbee with it. I really didn&#39;t enjoy it.

I dont listen to those hard rock metal bands, like Slipknot. I think that they are some how associated with the devil... :wth: or what not.

umm... no.

Actually, nu metal is either punk-rap (LB) or metal+rap+electronic music (LP)
Slipknot are screaming quickly. That&#39;s rap metal.
Or at least these are the definitions.

I love my metal, but with some metal comes that deep, uh, voice that I despise Corey Taylor sings like this sometimes so, yeah, I don&#39;t like Slipknot much. He&#39;s pretty good when just singing but I&#39;m not that interested in Slipknot anyway.

Whoever you get your information from is dumb. What I just explained is correct. P.O.D. is considered rap-metal, yet there&#39;s no "screaming quickly" in any of their songs.

I love Slipknot...:wth:...

I like their music, and I love IOWA... It has a little more meaning in my opinion. I like how the track Iowa is just layed out very slowly. "People=Sh*t" are one of my favorite songs along with "My Pleague", "Left Behind", "Heretic Song" and "I Am Hated".

I&#39;m wrongly accused of being a satanic worshiper when I mention I like Slipknot&#39;s music, and it&#39;s alright... I&#39;ve been working for the devil for many many years :chemist:... Muahahaha...

I think they&#39;re just too heavy for the mainstream life right now. People want comforting stuff since the war is around, but I love listening to Slipknot when I&#39;m pissed off. I thrash and get all my anger out--I love it .

And for the person who doesn&#39;t like Shawn (the clown)&#39;s mask, I disagree . I LOVE his mask. I like the fact the brain is exposed. Call me weird, but I like that thing... It&#39;s so creative and it&#39;s more creative than just wearing that clown mask he used to have. I like the drummer&#39;s kabuki mask... Because I like the story behind it .
