"Message" Updated With New Image

The "message" has now changed into what appears to be binary code over at linkinpark.com/message. More on this as it becomes available here at LPA.

UPDATE 4: Mike Shinoda posted a blog entry and thread reply stating the puzzle has been solved. According to his post:

"CONGRATS.

In the linkinpark.com chat, KATHYxx and NeXus87 just solved the puzzle. Rob Walker and MCRC were instrumental in solving the puzzle. Special shout-out to Alex, whose post also came very close, and helped the rest get the correct answer:

A THOUSAND SUNS."


UPDATE 3: After a lot of Google searching, as Mike suggested, LPA Forum member mcrc found this quote from Wikipedia page J._Robert_Oppenheimer:

"If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the mighty one..." & "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."

This is in relation to the first ever atomic bomb, and references the Trinity Test. For more info on this check out the respective Wikipedia page.

Ah, a confirmation on a viral at last? Virals actually require team work so there should be one person that transcribes a line each and then posts it here when they are 100% it's correct. Then we'll convert the binary into ascii

Well then. This kind of makes sense. It looks like too sentences made out of words from various languages here...If anyone can tell me what language each word is, we could decode it.

EDIT: I'm not 100% sure I got the binary exactly right, if someone wants to double check (Because I'm sure as hell NOT doing that again) go to this site and type the 1's and 0's in the binary section.

did you actually enter it all as one line or did you use the line breaks? Try it without the line breaks and entering it as one VERY long entry and see if that helps.

I did it without the line breaks. The amount of numbers in each row wasn't a multiple of 8 (every combination of 8 1's and 0's corresponds to a letter or number in text), so the binary wouldn't work if I put the line breaks in them.

Edit: It could also means Brightness falls.

Turns out google translate has a "figure out what language it is and translate it for you" tool!!

Sadly, it doesn't make much sense. Google translate is infamous for it's grammatical errors. What do you guys think?
