The album has grown on me a ton since October.

I didn't like the album for the most part when it came out, but recently I've found myself listening to most of it every other day. I'm kind of disappointed now that it didn't sell worth a damn (and that nobody cared when they did live shows), would kind of like too hear some more.

Anyone else appreciate the album more now than then? Or did the novelty wear off and you don't even bother with it anymore?

It had to grow on me, and it grew on me over weeks and weeks but it wasn't that "kick" for me.
I mean it grew on me enough to listen to a few of the songs over and over, its not that I didn't appreciate them - just didn't give me that "kick" I was hoping for.

Didn't like it when it came out and still don't like now. It makes me say "wtf was he thinking".

i definitely appreciate most of the tracks on the album. some of the tracks i felt were too cliche for me, but as a whole it was definitely a good album

If I had to rate and give one line explanation on the rating it would be:
2.5 - Some decent songs but not enough to keep me listening.

I immediately liked Out Of Ashes, even if there were a few songs that I had to hear again.
But the whole thing was very good, mostly less agressive but that doesn't mean it has no power.
It was just more different to LP than I expected, but that's the point.
Just because it's no copy of LP doesn't mean it's worse!

This may not be pointed at me or anyone, but I know that it's not Linkin Park and not mean't to be like Linkin Park but it just wasn't as a whole, good.

It was just my opinion and what I felt about the album.
Well... okay, and I'm annoyed with people comparing DBS to LP.
I didn't want to say anyone here does ;D

Fair enough, and I guess you're right.
We all have our opinions though.

Dead by Sunrise has a great sound in my opinion. It's something different than LP, but Chester still pulls it off.

I listened to it a lot for a month or so after it came out but it didn't really keep me interested enough to listen to it after that. I think it was also due to my music tastes changing as well, I've been listening to way more hip hop

It grew a lot on me. I LOVE Julien-K so naturally I was so excited. I didn't know how to feel when it was released.. I loved Let Down.

But as I listened more I liked it a lot more. I really like In The Darkness, Inside of Me, and My Suffering. It's just a really rocking album and I haven't heard anything quite like it in a while. OUTSTANDING vox by Chester btw.. holy shit..

A lot of the songs still sound like "Minutes To Midnight" leftovers to me. I mean, I know they're not, but "Inside Of Me", comes off like a lesser version of "Given Up", for instance.

The songs where you listen to them and go "No way this could've worked as an LP song!" are the ones that show off Chester's side-project best, basically. :3

I still love those softer songs on this album.

Honestly, Dead By Sunrise was pretty much a fail.
    Fort Minor please.
