I'm trying to get into reading graphic novels and I'm reading one currently in my American Literature class. It's called American Born Chinese. So I'm wondering if anyone reads them around here and if you do. Do you recommend any good one?
'Watchmen', 'Killing Joke', 'Batman: The Dark Knight Returns' and the 'Preacher' series are all excellent if you're into the superhero kinda thing =)
'V For Vendetta' was a graphic novel recommended by my librarian back in high school. Still haven't given it a look yet, so I can't give a personal opinion on the piece at the moment. However, judging by how the live action adaptation film turned out, I'd say it's definitely worth a look.
V for Vendetta is overrated The graphic novel is well drawn but the story is so muddled, it's a miracle the movie worked.
