SR-71's debut album was really punk-ish, but their second album "Tomorrow" is freakin' great. i'm not sure if most of you have heard of this band, but you should seriously check out "Tomorrow", the album. There's absolutely no punk (except the last track) and the songs are all hard rock. "Tomorrow" (the song) is featured in the new X2 movie and the song has been compared to LP vocals before (i read about them on the LPUMB, and checked them out, thank god). here's the tracklisting, i strongly advise some of you download their 2nd album. 01) They All Fall Down 02) Tomorrow 03) My World 04) Hello Hello 05) Truth 06) Goodbye 07) She Was Dead 08) The Best Is Yet To Come 09) Broken Handed 10) Lucky 11) In My Mind 12) Non-Toxic (worst song)
I saw them on MTV one night and I was a punk rocker then. I was like "Hey, this is kickin'!", it was the song "Right Now". Then I saw "Tomorrow" one morning, and I was like... "Wait, did I read that wrong or did it just say SR-71", lol. It was weird because I hadn't seen them for many years since "Right Now". I own both albums and I rock out to both once and awhile .
If Non-Toxic is their worst song they must be FANTASTIC!!!! (i've only downloaded Non-Toxic, i'll download all their songs 2day) in the UK on Now You See Inside there is a track called Paul McCartney is that a typo or not? coz i can't see it on their site.
yah i like sr-71. i guess not as many people here like their "punk-ish" side. well, i do, and i have their first album, which i think it's great. and yes, they have a song called Paul McCartney. i'm not sure exactly what's about. but it's not weird or anything. it's a nice song. and then i heard tomorrow on the radio and i was surprised that they said it was sr-71. i knew they sounded familiar because of the guy's voice. my friend got the new cd, and i'm gonna have to remember to ask to borrow it one day.
the first time I heard Tomorrow on the radio, I was in the car. I had no idea who it was and the radio station didnt say who it was but all I knew was the song kicked ass. So I came home, only remembering the chorous, I typed "Im not afraid of tomorrow, Im only scared of myself" and it returned one site with the lyrics. I didnt believe it was SR-71 until I downloaded it, I wasnt expecting it to be them
