Green Lantern! Is the pool of actors really that small that they had to choose an actor who's already playing another comic book character? I am disappointed.
Whaaaat? I actually think he'd be an awesome Green Lantern but I think they could get a different Deadpool maybe? Oh well.
Well, I wouldn't mind a different Deadpool. Since the one I saw in "X-Men Origins" was disappointing beyond words.
You know what this is? This is the studio playing safe by getting a well known actor to anchor the movie. Other front-runners like Bradley Cooper or Jared Leto would have been more interesting and far better choices imo.
That was down to the way the character was written as much as anything I wouldn't say Jared Leto and Bradley Cooper (off the back of the hype over The Hangover) would be much less lucrative than Ryan Reynolds, plus I don't know if Jared Leto would fit the role well and in my opinion Cooper just isn't as good an actor. Reynolds is probably a little too good looking, but that happens a lot in Hollywood (compare Amy Adams in Night At The Museum 2 to the real Amelia Earhart, as one recent example). It probably sounds like I'm completely jocking him by now but I can see him doing a good job of it. I understand, I'm slightly bitter at him for being married to Scarlett Johansson too.
