I myself am a big fan of Taproot , Stephen Richards is awesome!!! I am really glad Lp and Taproot had a chance to work together on Reanimation , and it's also cool that when Lp was Xero ( without Chaz ) they had Mark as the lead singer , Mark is now the Manager of Taproot. I especially like their new album "Welcome"
Taproot is a good band. I like Gift a little more than Welcome just because it is a heavier album. I would prefer Taproot instead of lim bizkit in the Sanitarium lineup.
A good website about Taproot is www.taprootbreathe.cjb.net, I was the original owner of the site untill I decided I was no longer interested in having a Taproot website. I decided to devote my site-work all to the LPA. But the site is now run by a girl I gave it to and she keeps it updated pretty well.
Taproot is my second fav band behind LP. I like what Stephen does with his voice how he goes from melodic sounds to straight screaming, then back to melodic, without missing a single beat. Welcome is a really good album IMO.
taproot rocks i love stephen's voice. it's really different from anyone else. he's another vocalist who can scream without sounding like crap. i have yet to pick up Gift
To be honest, I had never heard of Taproot before Reanimation came out. Then I heard the "Pushing Me Away" remix. I loved his voice, so I downloaded "I." I didn't like it much, but then Welcome came out and I bought it, and I was blown away. I got Gift for Christmas, as well. I'd have to say that Gift is the better album, but Welcome is much more artistic. Anyway, they're one of my favorite bands now.
That would depend what kind of music you like. If you like the more raw, heavier songs you'd like Gift. But if you like an album with slower songs, and heavy songs mixed, that dont sound quite as raw and sounds a little more produced, then check out Welcome.
