Do it. I'm halfway to snakebites. @ Jen — Honestly, lip piercings hurt less than ear piercings, and ear piercings barely hurt, unless you have them done with those fucking guns. Those things KILL.
Poor Will. edit: I had my lobes done with a gun, and yeah, that hurts. I have both my tragus' pierced though, one of them was easy, and the other was really bad. I think the girl who did my second one didn't have a clue though, she made me lay down when she did it, and it was awkward, and took a lot longer then it should have. Plus I don't think the needle was as sharp as it could have been...
I'm a huge fan of snakebites. I think they're stunning. I really want to get them done. Facial piercings are not done with guns - they're done with needles. Guns induce unnecessary trauma.

I don't think a gun would work well for lip or nose piercings anyway, the flesh is too thick and the posts on the studs wouldnt be long enough anyway
Yeah. I had my first ear piercing done with a gun, it hurt for hours and hours and hours and took forever to heal. My second ear piercing was done with a needle and healed pretty much within two days. My lip, though, didn't hurt at all. I expected it to be a bitch, and I barely felt it at all, as weird as that is.
I had my ears first pierced with a gun, then I woke up with blood on my pillow and took them out. I had then re-done last summer, with anaesthetic and a needle I'd like to get some more piercings done on my ears, but since I had an operation on them and I still have scars, they'd just get infected.
