"Reanimation" Digipak Case Discontinued

    This, actually, is pretty old news, but we never reported it. To those of you who don't know, the digipak case that Reanimation is currently being shipped in (the same as Meteora) is being discontinued. It will still be produced, but it will be in a traditional jewel-case instead. We don't know how this will effect art in the album, however, but we're sure LP figured out something to retain all of the art they including with the album. The disc will remain the same, just what it comes in will be different now.

    This was reported by Mike on LP.com on March 20th.

    It probably costs a lot more money to make the cardboard case's than it does to put them in jewel cases. And I dought Reanimation is getting much sales right now anyway.

    makes sense. My copy of New Found Golry's CD, Sticks and Stones is in a digipack (got it a couple days after release) but the last time I saw it in stores it was in a jewel case. I guess they're trying to save money, and I have a feeling that Meteora will go to normal jewel cases in a year or so

    isnt cardboard cheaper? i think jewel case is better, my meteora case is already all bent at the edges :(

    Well, I remember going to make the post and my computer crashed so I forgot about it until yesterday. :chemist:

    i might buy the jewel case just to see whats different if anything and stick it in my car so i wont have to be running back and forth
