I'm not really sure where exactly I should put this, but I'm just gonna ask and if it gets moved, it's moved. So, I'm going to get a guitar soon. The place that I'm buying from makes copies, but they sound almost exactly like the real things. I've narrowed down what I want to three guitars; the Fender Strat copy, the Tele copy, and the Gibson Les Paul copy. I need a quick vote, since I'm indecisive. Which one should I pick? Or should I just get a bass, since I've been wanting to play that? See how hard it is for me?
I'd go with the Les Paul copy. That way I can find out where you live, kill you and then take it for myself.
Tele or Strat. The Les Paul copy will be stupidly heavy (as with the real ones) and you'll find it uncomfortable to play with.
Strat's pretty much the quintessential beginner's guitar, so I'd go with that. I prefer the look of the LP, but as other's have said, it'll be heavy and uncomfortable. On another, but similar, note (sorry for hijacking your thread Androgyny), I've been looking at buying an ESP, and I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with them, i.e. is it worth it?
That looks pretty sweet. Unfortunately I've never played or heard one played, so I can't actually give you any advice
Oh well, you can buy it, and tell me how it is. I need something better than my Squier bullet Strat. The input is so dodgy on those things...
ESP's are absolutely amazing guitars. My friends and I play them all the time. I've got to say, though, that you should go with their LTD line to start off.
LTD? Thanks! The one I've actually been looking at is a LTD EC-200. Slightly lower down the price/quality scale, but that's kind of what I need. I've heard only good things about ESP's on YouTube, but given how many 'experts' there are on there, I didn't entirely trust it. Awesome, thanks for the advice
