This is also impressive seeing as how reviews for this album haven't all been good. Sure most of the ones we've see posted on this site were, but I've seen some really bad ones. And with the age of internet downloading at an all time high... Congrats LP.

EDIT- Errr im with stupid to LostWound. Lol, where did you come from, Metamorphosis?
    Vancouver.

I wonder what was the initial reaction for Meteora's first opening week sales if we already have this sort of excitement for the sales release.

Yea I don't think The Used could come even close to those numbers. There aren't that many people with crappy taste in music

LP is just dominating even these days. Most bands can't even beat thier debut sales. Other bands probobly needs like a year just to get 600k so THIS IS just AMAZING!! =)
    Yeah it's US only...

    USA---------------625,386 <-----Fucking Awesome
Japan-------------151,000 <-----Pretty fucking impressive for Japan
    United Kingdom--94,501
    Austraila----------28,242
    Germany----------Shipped 100,000, sold a bit less

Add all that up and taking a good guess of the other countries in the world we have about 1.1 million copies world wide rough estimate. Meteora sold 1.3 worldwide week 1.

to have some comparision, the #2 selling album this week was Tank’s 'Sex, Love & Pain' and had only 105k in sales. Amazing job LP!

Heh, wow. That really puts it in perspective. Biggest album of the year was my guess for 'MTM', and I have a feeling i'm right.

Even after a long break they manage to come back with these resuls. Very impressive. I think we're going to see another LP period like the HT and METEORA one.
