Translated by Birger of our forums from the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, we have a review of Meteora. I say we all band together and kill the guy who wrote this.

It’s been almost three years since Linkin Park released their incredible succesful debutalbum ”Hybrid Theory”. But dispite that this sequel (if you forgot last years remix album ”Reanimation”) ”Meteora” sounds like it was recorded three years ago as well. Linkin Park hasn’t evolved in any way since HT and sounds exactly the same as they did three years ago. Maybe they’re affraid that this sequel won’t sell as many as the 12 million copies the debut did when it was released. Meteora contains 12 tracks and one intro and to be honest, we’ve heard every single one before. It’s almost embarrasing to hear how ”Crawling” sounds exactly like ”Session” and ”Easier to run”, how ”One step closer” is re-used in ”Lying from you” and ”In the end” is the structure for ”Somewhere I Belong”. I was never surprised during the listening of this record, I've heard every song before, three years ago. But despite all this, Meteora is not bad at all. If I haven’t heard Hybrid Theory, I probably would have loved this one. Becuase if the guys deserve any credit at all it’s because of their tremendous ability to make catchy melodies and great choruses. It’s almost impossible to forget ”Don’t stay” after you’ve heard it three-four times and the same goes to ”Faint”. Too bad we’ve all heard them before…

What the h3ll? Session doesn't sound like Crawling..Easier To Run is totally different from One Step Closer...does anyone else feel like anger is coming from deep down inside?

    (.....)

Especially swedish critics seem to have one to many cromosomes or something. If you get the chance, download Håkan Hellström and listen to that piece of ####. They gave him 5/5 for his latest album  *wants to move away from this hellhole* :p

i think its cuz they're not gettin' the style LP is establishin'

when rap music first came out, the blinded older critics said the exact same thing, afraid of changes, so it all sounds the same to them
