Discuss the album, which leaked today, here. I'm very impressed. The 30 second clips from the trading cards player didn't do the songs justice. This is a much more mature 3DG, and I like the sound alot. Overall, the album seems put together better than their self-titled debut, which had some good, some average, and some bad songs. 'One-X' flows better, is more upbeat, has better lyrics, and is easier to sing along to. Favorites: "Pain", "It's All Over", "Never Too Late", "Riot", "Get Out Alive" (personal favorite), "Over & Over", "One-X", and "Gone Forever".
Meh. That's really what I have to say about it. I don't know, but to me, listening to this, it just sounded really boring. I will admit that they're a couple good songs (Gone Forever, Never Too Late) but that's really about it. And it sucks, because I really loved the first one. 5.5/10
the record is amazing. They have definitely matured since the last album. although the songs don't seem as "heavy" musically, IMO, there are a couple songs that are "heavy" emotionally. something about the lyrics in Never Too Late get to me. I've never dealt with a situation like that, but just listen to the lyrics and absorb the emotion Even If I Say, It'll Be Alright Still I Hear You Say, You Want To End Your Life Now And Again We Try To Just Stay Alive Maybe We'll Start It All Over, Because It's Never Too Late, It's Never Too Late i love it! the more I listen to this album, the more and more I like it. I will definitely be picking this one up.
Yeah i'm enjoying this album alot the vocals are awesome and i like all the songs so i'll definetely be picking this up
the album's great.Way better than the previous one.The band's surely grown up.But they have a lot more to develop to become an amazing band."One X" is one of the best rock albums so far this year, but i've expected a bit more. Some of the songs like "Time of Dying", "Never Too Late" etc. are great, they are not enough to make the album really great thou...It seems the last 3dg's albums are gonna be their greatest.Looking forward to hearing them. Until then I'm gonna listen to Time of Dying till i go mad.
I loved the debut album at first. But as time wore on, it got more boring. This new album is so much more mature than the debut, that's why I like it more. Too many songs from the debut were anti-parents ("Home", "Just Like You", "I Hate Everything About You"). It was like they were trying too hard to be rebellious and angsty. I'm happy they didn't pull a "Korn" and lament over the same thing over multiple albums. Granted, the debut did have some ditties like "Scared", "Wake Up", and "Take Me Under", but I found alot of the songs droned on a little long ("Burn") or were just average at best. I like how they've matured.
I absolutely hate Three Days Grace. I never liked their first album, but I thought I would give their new album a listen anyway. Their new album doesn't change my opinion of them. Such a shame really. I do like "Never Too Late", "Riot", "Get Out Alive" and "Gone Forever", but that's it. It's just something about their music that lacks appeal to me, lol. Those 4 songs though are really good. I'll give them that.
Yeah, don't get me wrong. I like a few songs (Never Too Late, Gone Forever) but thats really it. 2 songs. Doesn't cut it.
are any of these covers? a friend of mine says that one of em sounds like it could be a cover (they couldn't remember which track it was) and I can't find any information about the tracks on the net.
I love "Get Out Alive". Adam's vocals in the chorus are great. I agree about "Never Too Late", 2xPutt. It's a emotionally heavy track.
