I think Three Days Grace really stepped their game up. They've still got some kinks to work out, but I think their next record could be their best. One-X is an awesome, emotionally-charged alternative rock album. And the best part is that there are guitar solos.
I think the one of the things I like most about 3DG is the fact that their music is catchy but it keeps a certain edge to it that all rock music needs. "Riot" is a perfect example of this. A Straight-Up rock song with vocals you can't get out of your head.
I am so over this kind of music. I think thats why I didn't enjoy the new albums from Trapt & Staind. I may have appreciated it 2 years ago but now it just seems bland. Yes I know the next thing is "those bands are nothing alike". Well shit, I don't care.
Yes I have heard the album. Is it because I have a differing opinion you question it? I said i'm over this type of music, with the straight forward boring guitar riffs and uninsipired melodies. One-X just screams boring to me.
No need for the hostility, I was just asking a question because you didn't acknowledge you'd heard the album. Your sentence could have been taken as "I'm over this type of music, so I'm not ever bothering to listen to the new album.", which was how I saw it. Chill out.
Well I'm sure a lot of people find it boring, but for the most part, It's not supposed to be an exciting CD. It's got a couple faster-paced tracks but for the most part, the content is deeper and is supposed to mean something.
Exactly. Three Days Grace haven't ever been the most exciting band, so if you're expecting something to headbang along to, you might be disappointed. The most exciting song they've done has to be "Scared". What I like most about this album is the fact there's no angst.
just downloaded a "scene" release of One-X and there was a bonus track, a song called "Running Away"..... great song!
