http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1528963/20060418/korn.jhtml?headlines=true == Meh. The only band worth really seeing is Stone Sour. Korn has just become high and dried...Flyleaf, you can read my opinion on it in that thread and I saw the Deftones live and thought they sucked. I'm skipping this one. Even if it is 10 bucks a lawn ticket.
Metal, rock, and Hip-hop acts...plus a second stage. Hmm, anyone think Korn is trying to rip off of Projekt Revolution now?
@ Derek: Notice that the FV tour came first? They're not coming to Vancouver, but I'm not a huge fan of any of those bands anyhow. That's kind of weird how they don't play a show in either Seattle or Vancouver.
Family Values always combined the two. I don't think each genre was thrown on a different stage, but the point being that PR didn't come up with the idea of certain genres on different stages.
Korn is amazing live but I don't care for the other bands (I don't even care for Korn) so I'm probably going to end up skipping this tour.
You're all so spoiled in America. Awesome bands coming to your hometown and you don't even go ... Deftones is coming to Belgium this year (it's the second time ever) and it's gonna be packed out there. Tool and The Black Eyed Peas are coming the same day and so are some other bands but Rock, Hip Hop and Reggea on one stage isn't what I'm looking for. Belgium needs to start reproducing some good bands ... people in America complane that bands with original sounds become sell outs but all the bands that make it in Belgium are ripoffs of what we hear from your part of the world and they're sellouts from the beginning. Hope I didn't whine too much but it's the truth and it has to be said ...
Half the time I can't go to concerts when bands come to Cleveland because they always end up in Cleveland on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. I've never been to a concert on the weekend, Monday OR Friday.
I think you've got that mixed up. Technically PR is a rip-off of FV. Family Values had all of that a long time ago.
Heh, the line-up isn't quite that strange. Nothing looks weird compared to Snoop Dogg doing a show with Less Than Jake. Back on topic, the only band I'd want to see on Family Values is the Deftones, so I think I'll have to skip it.
On the other hand it's still 10 bucks to see the Deftones (and others if you really want), which i'm guessing is cheaper than their usual ticket prices.
PR was $10 for lawn tickets... at least in Nobelsville, IN. And I would like to see Korn's version of FV offer everything PR did. Offstage, FV can't compare.
You shouldn't go to a concert for the events offstage. What you should be focused on is what's on stage.
Very true, and I've heard they're really amazing live. I'm still not sure, though. I don't know if I'd want to sit through the other bands.
I didn't 'go to the center for the events offstage.' It's more of a respect thing. Showing that you want them as a fan. Giving the people who buy the tickets something to do when a band that they don't like is playing. Actually, something to do while your waiting 4523445 hours beetween and before sets. Family Values doesn't have an identity without Limp Bizkit.
