Fort Minor's "Kenji"

Hey I love this song "Kenji" that Mike made on Fort Minor and at the end he says that it was his family that was locked up in the Japanese internment camp. I didnt know that Mike had any Japanese in him or is this about Joe Han's family. I'm just looking for who this song is about.

His dad would have to of been pretty damn old to be the Kenji in the story.

It's about his grandparents, but his father was interviewed, as was his aunt.

 

yea they had testimonials from his dad and aunt. Got to the fort minor website theres actually a kenji that streams that plays the longer interveiw. its not the kenji song but just his dad and aunt talking
