Our friends over at LPFuse have recently apprehended a rare and exclusive Grey Daze demo entitled "Here Nearby". For those of you who didn't know, Grey Daze was a band Chester sang in before joining Linkin Park in 1999. Jet on over to their website to download the track. Note: The site also has very high quality rips of the Xero Sampler Tape up for download as well, so take a look at those, too. Thanks to Simon and LPFuse.
i think new LP versions of the Xero tape would be so cool.. they could put it out as an LPU cd.. *shrugs* its better than the live stuff they give...
Man, the static from the prior copies of the Xero songs I had really masked a lot. They definitely sound younger in the new rips, and now I can hear how bad the singing really is. Still good though.
- Mike sounds like hes 12 years old on Stick 'n Move. - Mark Wakefield is a horrible vocalist. - Is it just me or does the riff in Stick 'n Move sound like the riff in Runaway? - If I would pick a song for Linkin Park to redo, it would be Reading My Eyes.
Look at the album credits for Runaway, Wakefield is credited in the songwriting, so yeah, Stick N' Move is in a sense the earliest version of Runaway.
