Leaving
Leaves are falling on the ground
As I’m walking the empty streets of my home town
Where everybody used to know me
And I used to know everyone
I remember the day
We went the separate ways
To never see each other again
To pursue our dreams
We were too young to realize
Now it’s too late to take it back
The sky opens wide
And the rain starts to fall
I see your shattered smile in every single raindrop
The echo of the wind sounds just like your voice
The pavement is melting under my feet
The ground is calling me
The ground is swallowing me
I scream your name
Drowning in the river of memories
My lungs are filled with you now
I cannot breathe anymore
And then I’m back into the reality
The sun is high in the sky
I see the happy couples walking hand in hand
Familiar faces say hallo to me
Back to my home town again
Back home again
I left and I regret
I should have never left home
I should have never left you
