However, I hate to be a total downer, but judging by the sudden change of date to 'TBD' on Smashbros.com, it appears that we may not see Brawl until 2008.

What an effing bummer, I was so looking forward to this for all of Christmas break this year. Good news gets cancelled out by bad news. Oh well, I'll keep my hopes up that it'll still be out before Xmas.

Gamestop still has it listed as 12/3/07 and that's where I have it preordered so it better be right.

As you all know, Nintendo is currently holding a conference in Japan. Despite the above mentioned excellent development, reports are saying that Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been delayed in Japan until January of 2008. There is still no word, however, if this will affect release dates for other markets.

So the US release could still be 12/3/07

Just decided to update myself with Super Smash Bros news. Two words come to mind. HOLY FUCK! Lolol. The new 'specials' features are gonna be awesome, and thank god the controls will stay relatively the same, as well as being optional. I still haven't checked out the character roster for this game, but I hope it's gonna be plentiful as hell.

SMASH UPDATE!

When Nintendo said that its upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii would be one of the biggest titles that would be hitting the console they weren't kidding. Today's update for the game especially proves its point with an all new feature guaranteed to make the game bigger and better than before - the Stage Builder.

That's right! This time around, you can now customize and play on a battlefield of your own design. The Stage Builder lets you play around with a lot of customizable objects that you can litter your stage with. Pick the stage's size, an appropriate background soundtrack and a name and you're all ready to rumble. So go ahead and see if you an outdo the already wacky pre-set stages in the game.

What's more, you can even share you creations to all your registered Wii Friends and Smash friends. However, if you think that's something, Nintendo has something even bigger planned for this great feature.

Word from Smash Bros. Dojo has it that you can send your custom stages onto the Nintendo Wi-fi network and allow people around the world to experience your masterpiece. After sharing your stage online, a stage made by someone else will come to you over the Internet. Which means you'll be able to play a random stage everyday and effectively extend your brawling experience indefinitely.

Nintendo is still working out the details of how often this new stage sharing system will be implemented, but they assure gamers they'll be able to try out new stages as well as send out your own around once a day at the very least.

I got a Wii this month and I really like it. I'm kind of disappointed that there are a lot of half-cooked games out there though. A lot of gimmick games and people just trying to cash in. It's sad to see people taking advantage of the Wii this way. I think it's hurting people's perception of it. It'll probably always be seen by the bigger demographic as a kid's toy or something.

Hopefully this will change, but it looks like this generation's cycle is going to end soon.

Anyway, I really like Super Mario Galaxy 2, and TVC: Ultimate All-Stars isn't bad. Metroid: Other M is the next game I'm getting. Anyone excited about Skyward Sword?
