May 16, 2005 - Despite early reports that claimed Grand Theft Auto would be a PS3 launch title (gotta love that early launch chaos), we have confirmed with our editors at the Sony E3 press event that no new GTA title has been confirmed for Sony's upcoming machine.

What Rockstar did confirm, however, was that it would be supporting the powerhouse system in the future and that it's looking forward to creating living, breathing worlds with the Cell technology.

Evidence of this could be found in Rockstar's PS3 trailer that showed an old-west style desert game that is as of yet unnamed. We'll have more on that in just a few minutes.

Man the PS3 looks so slick. The controller im sure will fit perfectly like the other PS controllers. Cant wait for 2006!

What bothers me is how Bill Gates thinks releasing Halo 3 when the Playstation 3 is will disrupt the sales of PS3. Considering that Halo 2 didnt really disrupt any PS2 sales. On another note, the Specs of the Playstation 3 are downright spectacular. The 'Cell' is very impressive. And I don't think that Xbox 360 can beat the PS3.

I always been a big fan of Sony, but ever since xbox came out with Halo and their xbox live I've been more into xbox. Hopefully Sony will be able to get me back into playstation, if they make the online more "interesting" for me.

I&#39;ve always been a Sony fanboy, and the stuff released so far about the PS3 is only getting me more amped up. I just hope, and I&#39;m sure they won&#39;t, that Sony won&#39;t go Microsoft and throw some stupid party for it&#39;s reveal.

I don&#39;t care what people say, Xbox is a Playstation wannabe, the only thing that Xbox has behind it (current generation) is a powerful machine that can produce a nicer graphics output. I still say PS3 will stomp the competition at least in advertisement. Hopefully Sony won&#39;t get greedy, too. I hope they keep online play free as it is now (not including FFXI).
