Is this a genuine Windows XP product & will i have any trouble activating / registering or even using this version. What's the deal with these versions of XP?

There are other versions on Ebay too like "Dell" branded versions etc, etc but this one seems pretty legit. Any help would be appreciated.

    Looks legit.

    But...

Don't buy it. I wouldn't trust anything like that from someone you don't know.

    *looks more*

The label says OEM which means it came with a system and you're not supposed to sell it. It might even be from a Dell.

    Wouldn't buy it.

Its legit. Its an OEM copy. Microsoft's license states that OEM copies of XP must be sold with hardware, so what they'll do is send you a cheap piece of hardware that may or may not be working, such as a mouse or something like that to keep everything legit.

I'm willing to bet that they won't even do that.

And their web design tables describing the product look like shit. Wouldn't trust it.

What I wouldn't trust is the seller to actually ship anything out. However, assuming he receives whats described in the auction, then its 100% legit.

What everyone has said is true so far.

I'm going with what everyone else said. Don't buy it. Buy one from the store. No worries there. :)

Yeah, I took that into consideration. But there's a 99% chance that you aren't getting ripped off if you're buying from a store.

i buy from e-bay all the time and this person pretty much has perfect feedback. 3963 transaction feedback with only 4 neutrals and 1 negative. thats pretty fucking hard to come by. i know the only way to get rid of negative feedbacks is if both parties agree to retract them or you pay $20 for each negative you want to remove. if this person was really untrustworthy then they mustve payed a shitload of money to get rid of their negative feedback, which would be a total waste and takes a lot away from profit.
