    Wow. That's just idiotic.

    I'm glad I don't use AIM.

So if you send someone a manuscript... they can take it and publish it before you and make royalties. Basically it's allowing them to snoop around where they shouldn't be.

    Fucking AOL.

Anything you send via AIM automatically belongs to AOL.
Plus they can sell anything to other companies.

That's crap. But I don't share my plans to create an ultra-cool time travel machine, so I'll keep using.

Just so you know, this means if you send someone say, a copyrighted mp3, you can be traced and tracked down.

Well, I don't send anything important through AIM, so you know, I really don't care. Plus, do you honestly think they go through reading every conversation anyone has on AIM? No.

This is completely BS. I send very classified stuff (i'm serious) that I would not want them a) looking at B) claiming ownership over c) them having any part with at all.

    We should boycott them. Idiots.

Doesn't matter what software you use, anything that goes through their servers is automatically given ownership to AOL.

elie2 - If you send anything through AOL, you don't own it anymore, AOL does. ;)
