I think from what I heard about the nature of the song (the riff and a bit of the sample at the end) That this one will be up there for quite a while! Please tell me what you think!
True Chester... I just thought it will have good potential since I think I have a fairly good assessment of the 'nature' and mood of the song. It sounds like a softer, In The End type song. You know how popular that got! Good point, tho, wait and see!
i think it will be an awesome song and will be at the top for a while but... i think it will be overplayed. but if you're like me, you can NEVER get tired of the LP songz.. but there are some people that can.. poor, lost souls...
Yeah, its unfortunate... Some people really hate when a good song becomes a single and gets overplayed. I am not really that type of person, so it won't matter to me!
there's no need to bump this, it's not going off the page anytime soon. this seems liek a more rock-ish song to me. in canada, only ITE went high up the charts because they're filled with rap and pop. it'll be good enough to be atop the charts for 2-3 weeks.
I think just because of the anticipation of their new album, the single will be a hit instantly. It will finally be something new from Linkin Park and everyone will love that fact. And I think the radio stations will play it a lot, and that will get it a lot of exposure.
I had rather it be more like, By myself or Forgotten, something with more rock. If it's like In the end, people will think LP a pop band.
i think it will be a big hit. in Australia, every song that was released from LP was a hit... so i dont think this one will be any different
It'll be a hit, but not for a while, coz rock songs are neva at the top for a long time, law of nature, pop is always on top( unfourtinatly)
i think its goin to be a hit in the rockcharts, not in a other chart because most people dont like this sort of music everyone likes pop
i go to a lot of different places to order cds and alot Linkin Park is listed under pop.. so you never know it could make it on the pop charts..
If people like it, it's pop. As long as people like Linkin Park, they will be considered pop. Although the true definition of pop is something totally different. I think it'll be on top for a few weeks, but I believe the biggest hit will be the third or second single, like on Hybrid Theory.
I agree with Detri. Pop is a style of music, and you just can't blandly put a band in the mix with all the pop bands out there. Sure many people like it but that doesn't mean they are a pop band. Pop deals with light singing and synthesized sounds, and show me a music video were you see one of N'Sync jamming on a guitar or screaming like Chester! Of course, they are popular, not pop, because LP is such a great band that is gonna kick ass with Meteora! B)
