After loving Take Me Out, I "obtained" a couple other tracks (Auf Asche & Dark Of The Matinee) which are definetly eccentric, but not at all bad. I wanted to know if anyone has heard or has the album, and what do they think of it? Worth buying or "obtaining" or neither? Thanks for any help in advance.
Unless you like an album where all of the songs sound the same and were made for the mainstream, stay away from it.
LOL -- uhm, in the beginning i thought they were pretty annoying with those same guitarsounds and all, but it doesn't bother me to listen to them now. But i'd never buy an album of them.
Meh, their first song was ok, but I'm sick of it, and like Will said, I think a lot of their stuff sounds the same.
Ooh I actually like Franz Ferdinand. I have their album and definately recommend it to you all. Some of the tracks do sound very similar, but others are completely different. Tracks to get include 'Michael' and 'Holiday' (This song isn't on the album for some reason).
as a friend of mine just said " Im pretty sure thats why we are all here" [/b][/quote] Someone call the ambulance, because we have a burn victim! As far as the whole mainstream thing goes, I found that the Franz CD was very different from the crap that you hear nowadays. In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend it to those who are addicted to afore mentioned music. If you want something a little different though, then go and buy this album.
