Are you involving me in the conversation because you consider me to be some sort of poor boy, well I'll tell you now that I need no sympathy

I start playing Numb on the piano.

All jokes aside, I check the window and see if I can get out of the house through it.

I check to see if there are any other entrances which are easy come easy go. I also check a little high and a little low for less-obvious clues.

You move swiftly to the window ahead and lean over the piano as you peer outside the window. You notice you're quite high up. There are bushes and trees below, you notice the rustling seems to pass from bush to bush along the bush-line as if something is moving through them. You keep watching, long enough to see a large unidentifiable blur moving through them. It comes to a sudden stop. You keep looking, but after several seconds, it fails to move again and thus you lean back from over the piano curious as to what you were just watching. You turn around and look around the room, there is nothing else there.

    What do you do?

^ I return to the first room I entered to try and see if any of the pieces of wood there would be suitable as a weapon ...

He'll pick the one he deems the most acceptable for the direction of the story. :)

    Alright.

I exit the room and check further down the hallway.

Probably just the wind blowing, anyway it doesn't really matter to me. I grab some piano wire to use as a weapon and go back to the first door

I ponder the thought of even having to use the piano wire. How would I explain this to my family? "Mama, I just killed a man."

If you were to kill a man, just put a gun against his head, pull the trigger and he's dead. I plan on using this piano wire against the wolf that I assume the title refers to.

You head back out in the corridor, walking past the door which remains unopened back to the first room you entered. You stand in the door way and have another quick inspection before moving over to the far left corner of the room where a pile of wooden planks lay. You kneel down, and one by one, pick up each wooden plank, rotating it around, looking for a sturdy one to use as a possible weapon. Several of them are thin, you do not deem them usable as a weapon and so you place them down by your side.

There are only two remaining, you pick up one of them before you notice a large rusty screw laying where the wooden plank was laying. You pick it up, and place it in your pocket, thinking that it can be put the future use. You continue to inspect the plank you're holding, it seems to be the thickest and strongest of the pile, so you stand back up, holding the plank with two hands in front of you.

    What do you do?

I take the thickest plank and return to the door I didn't open before.

I sit in despair and think of what I'd say next. "Mama, life had just begun"

You move back into the corridor, and head to the door on the right. You stand with your ear to the door, listening for the breathing you had heard before. This time, no breathing can be heard. You grab the door knob and push it down, but it doesn't budge, you try again, and again it does not budge. You kneel down, placing the plank of wood you picked up earlier beside you and look at the door knob closely. You see a small hole under the door knob, you look at it and notice that there is something in there, as if it had been jammed in from the other side.

    What do you do?
