It's not really hip-hop (although at times, it kinda sounds like it). It's more kind of experimental dubstep mixed with hip-hop here and there + some very unique sounds but wow, a very nice job man, it's sounds very good! I really like the sound of it. What's the software you use? :)

Btw, am I the only one who thinks it's a pity there isn't an official acapella for When They Come For Me instead of the DJ Hero one?

"you cannot use a pre-made beat as it must be something fresh" - Derek

That instrumental is a complete copy from this song (3:27 to be exact):

Although the mashup is awesome, I'm pretty sure that you can't have a direct instrumental mixed in with a Linkin Park acapella.
And I don't want to sound cocky here, but are you saying that the instrumental is "your stuff"? Are you the original artist???

THIS IS DOPE. I'm loving the instrumental!! :D

Yeah I'm sorry to LPRools, but the entry is disqualified. We strictly said to not use someone else's beat (as it's cheating) and you did just that, so please create your own beat and resubmit.

    As for DirtyBlup: Great remix!

Linkin Park 0394's my favorite so far. Though I'd really enjoy a little variation since 3/4 of the song. But nonetheless a great remix.

Sick remix! I like what you did with Chester's vocals.

Good beat, nice sounding sounds -> good remix so good job!

Thanks man, glad you liked it! Can I ask where you want more variation? I think the beat may get a bit repetitive after a while but to me, in hip-hop, it's the vocals that should bring the variation.

In hip-hop (real hip-hop that is), the lyrics are real and the message that the lyrics hold should be heard. Therefore, the vocals should be the main focus of hip-hop. Take rap battles f.e., you have 2 rappers and a dj. The dj plays the same beat over and over again but the actual raps make it less boring and actually brings variation.

Not to say that you should get lazy on a hip-hop song by making a simple beat and repeating it over and over again but, to me, the raps should bring the biggest amount of variation in a hip-hop song. More variation can be added by stopping the beat for example (like I did at some parts in my remix).

At least, that's my view on hip-hop, not saying this is the only way, it's just my way of working on this remix :)

These aren't my entries, just something I wanted to share to inspire others to use LP songs you probably wouldn't expect to use over a hip hop beat because you'll be surprised how cool they sound, and I'm hoping people will make the most unique mixes out of this month's competition. I've never made a hip-hop song before and I have a break from school so I think I'll take this opportunity to have some fun :)
