Ha ha ha awesome..! The lyrics kinda sucked for Protest, but that was kinda the groove back then with the whole "anarchy" thing and that "protest the system" was so cliche (though you can still find that to this day).. Guitar is really close to the final versions on both, thank God David rewrote the lyrics, Guarded and Divide are awesome, very in-your-face especially Divide.
I feel like these guys would be better with a certain electronic edge or something. Maybe some more creative guitar work
I don't know if this has been said already but the Disturbed symbol isn't a pentagram; it's the "universal religion" icon. Also I liked their first three records but I couldn't even finish Indestructible.
^ Yep, this dude is right. As the Believe booklet itself has the religion symbols separately and they are overlapped to shape the final image on the cover.. Too bad you didn't like Indestructible :/ ... BTW I just listened to it yesterday and I can't believe I forgot how awesome The Curse was. Love that song.
Disturbed's one of the most overrated bands of all-time. Their guitarist would've been better off if he hadn't played with Disturbed. The dude's awesome. However, all their music sounds exactly the same from Believe onward. I'm glad they went on hiatus, so I don't have to hear one of their horrible songs the next time I'm listening to a rock radio station. I used to like them back when I was an immature high-schooler who didn't know anything about good music.
The emoticon was meant to show that was sarcasm, although I did listen to them a lot when I was in high school.
I can't blame you though. Like I stated on earlier posts they did repeat their formula on their latest records. It's just that I can bear with that but many people are disappointed with their latest work and they have a fair reason.
I feel like I really outgrew them; I hardly listen to any of my favorite bands from back in the day. Lostprophets is the only one, apart from Linkin Park, who I actually buy new albums from anymore.
The Sickness was awesome. After that album everything kind of blurred together. Enjoyable for a workout.
Well, The sickness is sick head. Indestructible is cool. Other albums are boring. I used to love them, now the lack of creativity in their music annoys me. However, it's still great to listen to their songs while working out!
Don't know what band you are talking about but when I saw the Asylum tour they were fucking awesome. Minus the fact Asylum was a shit album. Also it was awesome cos I got free tickets to it.
