(from their Myspace blog) The bolded part is pretty much why I'm posting this but whether they're moving somewhere else to finish it or are done with the writing of the album altogether I dunno, I'm somewhat out of the loop as far as Lostprophets are concerned. Either way the video blog's worth watching if you're a fan and/or if you like watching videos of bands mainly just pratting around.
Is there a way any of you can send me the song "Rooftops"? Cuz i LOVE that song and i cant download it with my music download thing...lemme know pleeease
lostprophets are amazing - i remeber reading somewhere before their latest effort LT looks like a total 'pop' album when you compare it to this new cd we are on about here. they said (i think) that this new cd is going to completely different and in my eyes that can only be a good thing. dont get me wrong LT was sweet. but not a scratch on TFSOP or even SS. [edit]: check http://www.dragonninja.com/ its really good for lostprophets news and stuff
i really really really liked start something... every track was great. i think this album needs some tracks like the title track on SS and Sway... something creative melody-wise instead of LT... which i think i was tired of before i even listened to it.
Their last album was almost as big a disappointment as Finger Eleven's Them vs. Me vs. You (or whatever). What a nosedive.
I wouldn't call it as much of a disappointment as it was a change of direction, but I still liked it for what it was. Now that they supposedly "got all the pop out", we'll have to see what direction they pick next. And that means, I hope they take a past direction.
I can't wait for a new Lostprophets album. Hopefully they put out an amazing record to make up for the sub-par CD they put out last year.
So you're saying you didn't even give it a chance? I take it I'm still the only fan who thinks Liberation Transmission is better than Start Something, then.
I loved Liberation Transmission. It was catchy and fun to listen to. But I think Start Something was better. When I say I hope it's thefakesoundofprogress-ish, I mean that I hope they go back to their old sound, which involves the screaming... I think.
I'd say the actual sound of TFSOP with the songwriting of Liberation Transmission, with a couple more tracks like Sway as well. The reason that I don't like Start Something as much is that even though it has it's moments they tried to do too much on one album.
The way I feel is the exact opposite of the way you feel. Start Something was a masterpiece. I think that almost every track is fantastically outstanding. I think the only track I don't like is "A Million Miles," to be honest.
There are some really good songs on there... pretty much all of the singles, To Hell We Ride, and Sway. What I mean is that a lot of the songs aren't cohesive with each other and there's more filler than I'd like in my opinion.
