Does anyone have bands that sound similar to them?
I love Explosions in the Sky. I have all of their albums. One of the best instrumental bands I've ever listened to. Hands down.
I went through a phase of loving instrumental bands and downloaded 'The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place' and I've got to say it is excellent.
I like them. I've been getting into post-rock/instrumental music more lately. http://www.myspace.com/thiswilldestroyyou are my favourite.
If you like Explosions in the Sky I'm pretty sure that you'll love God is an Astronaut. They're easily my favourite post-rock band. Others you might like: Mogwai, Mooncake, The Samuel Jackson Five, Laura. Laura are from Melbourne, Australia. Where I live
The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place is in my top five albums. Your Hand In Mine is up there with my favourite songs ever too. I have a heap of post-rock recommendations but i just got up so i'll wait a while .
GodSpeed You! Black Emperor are a pretty good post-rock recommendation if anybody wants one. Oh, and 65daysofstatic.
