Seems like our last news post about the confirmed news date oddly and to our surprize, isnt true.

All evidence was pointing to the idea that this WAS the release date, including the quote by the moderator "Bob" on the LPUMB.

Unfortunately, sometimes in the rush to report exciting and exclusive news, websites can end up reporting something they believe is legit and later find out it's not.

Our news on this being untrue came from Bob himself, who had emailed one of our staff members to say that he was misunderstood that he knows just about as much as we do, which at this current time is nothing.

However, it is to be noted that before we wrote this news story, HMV, Kerrang, and LA Times all said the release date is the 25th, towards the end of March and with Reanimation being released on a 30th, and a quote from Bob, it didnt seem so far fetched.

We hope that this embarassing mistake doesnt turn any of you away from our website, as we only wanted to provide the news as it came to us.

If you don't want to trust our news anymore, I suppose you dont have to, but I believe every website has a right to make mistakes here and there.

Once again, on behalf on everyone here at the Linkin Park Association, we apologize for the mix-up and we will be sure to post the EXACT date when it becomes available

dont worry about it! thats just part of the big hype about the new album... it happened with reanimation - loadsa rumours were spread and a lot of them ended up being wrong. just so long as you tell us then it doesnt matter... if u didnt then i wud be a very unhappy LPAer stood outside woolies on the 25th with ma £12.99 looking distressed not seeing the album on the shelves :(

why are you saying sorry? there's no need to! you just did what normal people in the media do and rushed to get the news that you thought would make us happy.

We should be congratulating you lot really :)

reason being that you care for this site and the people on it so much...you want everything that happens before any one else gets it...

You actually have the guts to work and maintain a site...you constantly tune it up and update it...that's why we should look up to you instead of put you down because of a mistake...

anyway...the best thing to do is to take is slower next time...take your time...make sue it's all true...then put it up...so long as it's there...it's good...if you get it first...that's a bonus...

nice one for admitting you made a mistake...that's another reason we should look up to you for

Before you joined the forums, we got news that the album was going to be released the 25th by an LPU moderater. But then later found out that he was mis-understood and knows no more than we do. But before we found that out we had already made a news post informing thousand's of visiters that it was the 25th, when that was not official yet, though we thought it was. So here Derek(LinkiedTheory) is apologizing for mis-informing everything. Although it looks like it was right anyway, 3 or 4 top-magazine's have said the 25th too.

and btw, he doesnt hate him just because of the date issue. Turns out bob has been putting down our site, saying it has errors and etc.
