View Full Version : How to pass time in Math Class
Call me a moron, but the best way to pass time in Math, or any class for that matter, is to take a calculator and go 1+1 and keep hitting '=' as many times as you can. It will go up by ones (obviously). I'm up to 30 000. I did that in two 75 minute classes. My goal is to get to a million (1 000 000) by the end of the year. Try it, you can even do it while you're listening in class, just keep tapping that '=' key.
Kind of a funny way to waste away those hours...
Note: This might not work on calculators that don't keep calculating the answer when you hit '=' over and over.

Good idea. I need something else to do other than killing tests...I've got 100% in my math class (any bets as to how long it'll take me to blow it?) so I usually just sit there. Bored. Listening to LP. That's the life... B)
never thought of that.
thanks for the idea.
yeah i knew that ... i always to that in math class :P

I also try spelling different things on my calculator, that's also quite amusing.

Or write down the number you left off at.
I'm an idiot. The way I pass time in my math class is press random numbers, turn my calculator upside-down, and it spells a naughty word.
Like '43ll' would spell the word hell backwards.
I have an odd sense of humor..

Exactly. Whoever said I'd need to start over was thinking WAY to compliacated
One time, on the school graphing calcluators, I went to sketchpad and drew a big [LP] and a little label under it that said "I pwn j00" That way, the next person to turn on the calculator would be like :o

Phoenix is the best game on TI-81. I either play that, Tetris, or write song lyrics in the alpha lock function. :)
I always used to do that. :)

You could always pip off and do fun stuff, but hey.
I type in words like 8008135, and 8008, and h311(h = 4 upside down.)... You get the drift.
I play Phoenix, that space-invaders type game on my TI83 all the time. I've beaten it many, many times.

Yeah the only thing that sucks is that my calculator doesnt save the highscores. I make the highscore list all the time but it never shows it when I exit and come back.
