Pointless sites.

I've recently tried going on several URL i randomly typed, and i noticed that a large part of the web has been taken over sites that have almost no meaning at all, and, furthermore, the owner still has to pay the domain cost.
For example, check this one out. (http://www.cold.com/)
It doesn't even have ads so that you can say "Well, at least it's profitable".
