We got like an inch of ice today (not snow, ice). And I just found out a few minutes ago, tomorrow's a snow day (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t)

you all can have fun in school while I'm sleeping half the day :P

I have a snow day tomorrow. But I have exams after tomorrow. Pooey on you Todd.

We're supposed to be having a blizzard tonight so I might not have exams tomorrow. (y)

1 inch? That's nothing compared to Canada. That would never get us out of school. We had 40cm's of snow last night and we're getting another 20+ tonight. I just came in from shoveling stuff that was up to my chest. It's crazy.

Hell, 1 inch of ice. the Avalon East School Board would laugh at that and pull out the wipe and give us a crack. I hate their new policies. DAMN SCHOOL BOARD!

Here's hoping: You.

We're supposed to get 2-4 inches tonight, so i'm hoping for a 2 hr delay. Unlike most people, I don't like snow days because my school tacks them onto the end of the year. Last year we didn't get out until the 23rd because of 2 snow days. I like 2 hr delays much better lol.

Our school board gives us 3 snow days to use, anything over 3 days and they tack them on to the end (it's rare we get 2 snow days each year though). But, this year it doesn't matter because I'm a senior and my last day is in the middle of May regardless of what happens (w00t)

If anyone tacks on days during my school year, it's pointless. Exams are over 2 weeks before school ends and no one goes after exams anyways. We just come back on the last day for our report cards and leave.

But, you still have to wake up at a really early time, get dressed, drag your ass to school, walk to your class and then sleep in a rather uncomfortable desk. I get to sleep straight through in the comfort of my own home and in my nice comfy bed :P

Our school will do anything to not cancel or delay. The school board is insane like that. Then they'll finally realize once we've been in school for a few hours that duh, they shouldn't have made us come in the first place, and then send us home.

We've always had the policy too, that if the buses are sent out, it's still counted as a full day if they decide to cancel school right then. But I guess next year that's gonna change and it's all gonna go downhill. Blah.

our last snow day was actually a COLD day, -42 celcius (with the windchill).

Yeah, for us to get a snow day it has to be AT least 30 cm (15 inches??) or so...if it snows at night that much and there's a enough time to plow the roads, then its no snow day....I wish I was in the US....an inch and they cancel EVERYTHING....wussies

Snow day? In Minnesota? One can hope, but it's NOT HAPPENING HERE! Last day I can remember off school: air temp was -20 Fahrenheit. Wind chill: -80 Fahrenheit. That was about eight years ago. But the heat at my school hasn't been working properly, so if it fails again, they're closing school down until it's all fixed.
